The Colony At Pelican Landing: Golf & Country Club Living
The Colony at Pelican Landing is set in an environment of spectacular natural preserves. The Colony is home to just over 1000 residences, the majority being high rises with spectacular views of Estero Bay and the Gulf of Mexico.
The Colony At Pelican Landing’s Amenities
Located on Estero Bay is The Colony Bay Club, it is home to The Colony Foundation Administrative offices as well as a restaurant that serves lunch and dinner that is open to all Colony residents. It features a formal dining area on the second floor and a more casual dining experience on the third floor known as The Top of The Bay. There is also limited seating on a outdoor terrace and a private dining room and bar. The views of Estero Bay are outstanding and the sunsets are to be experienced.
The Beach Park is just one of many amenities available to residents of The Colony. There is nothing like it in southwest Florida. It’s located on 34 acres at the northern end of Big Hickory Island. You travel by a shuttle boat across Estero Bay to Big Hickory Island. If you are one of the lucky ones you may see dolphins or manatees out in Estero Bay as you make the crossing. At the beach, you will find a pavilion with seating and restrooms. Chaise lounges and beach umbrellas are available for your use. Feel free to choose any that are unoccupied and make sure to bring your towel with you. The beach is open to residents just about every day of the year.
Colony Residents and authorized family members and guests can use the kayaks and canoes located at The Colony Kayak Park located on Spring Creek near Estero Bay. Paddles and life vests (PFD’S) may also be borrowed from the Coconut Road Gate House. You can also have your own kayak or canoe with your own slip rentals. A paddle through the mangroves that line Spring Creek is a way to enjoy the natural beauty of the area that surrounds the PLCA. Kayaks and canoes are available at Spring Creek Kayak Park and kayaks are available at our Coconut Point Marina.
The Pelican Landing Tennis Center has 12 Har-Tru Courts, a USPTA-certified professional, an assistant, a registration desk and pro shop. The Tennis Center is open to residents daily and seven courts have lighting for night play. There are organized tournaments, tennis socials and league play with other communities around Southwest Florida. A full complement of group and individual lessons options are available for a fee. The Tennis Center also includes an air-conditioned social room that is ideal for meetings, card and board games, or social events. It is open to all residents and can be reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis for parties and meetings.
There are six pickleball courts are located on the Community Center. It is easy for beginners to learn and it can be a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players. Pelican Landing has a pickleball program that has organized play and open courts for individual use. From beginners to advanced players, there are round robins, ladders and leagues in which players can participate, including men’s, women’s and mixed events. The Pelican Landing Community Center features a 3,200 square foot fitness center with a full range of cardiovascular and resistance equipment, as well as a functional training and stretching area. The center is open from 7am to 7pm Monday through Friday and 7am to 3pm on Saturdays and Sundays. The Community Center hosts a year-round calendar of activities coordinated by the Activities Director, including mah-jongg, bridge, poker and Scrabble games; dinner dances; book clubs; arts/crafts and photography classes; lectures; concerts and a Trivia Night.
Also, within The Colony gates, is a Golf and Country Club that residents may join for an additional fee. The Colony Golf & Country Club has a 18 hole golf course designed by Jerry Pate and a clubhouse that features formal and casual dining, a golf shop, a spa and fitness center, a swimming pool and a tennis facility.
The Colony’s Location
The Colony is located on the waters of Estero Bay, between Naples and Fort Myers in Bonita Springs and Estero. Residents have convenient access to Interstate 75, Florida Gulf Coast University, professional sports venues, regional shopping centers, the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall, Artis-Naples and the Southwest Florida Regional International Airport.
The Colony at Pelican Landing is located west of US 41 between the I-75 Exit 123 (Corkscrew Road) and Exit 116 (Bonita Beach Road). Travel time from the airport (RSW) is approximately 30 minutes. From US 41, head west on Coconut Road. Turn left at the entrance of The Colony Golf & Bay Club that is just before The Hyatt Regency Coconut Point.

- The high-rise buildings include Sorrento, Navona, Florencia, Altaira, Palermo, La Scala and Treviso.
- The mid-rise options include Cielo, Terzetto, and Castella.
